Should parents be allowed to hit their kids??

In the book “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” Huck Finns dad hits him. But, parents shouldn’t be allowed to hit their kids. This book is a good why they shouldn’t. One is if there parents are alcoholics, and hitting for the wrong reasons. But, there are some reasons why they should be allowed to hit their kids.

In chapter five we meet Huck Finns dad. He is an alcoholic. He beats Huck Finn because he goes to school. I think it because all he does is drink. If he didn’t drink all the time and spent his money good he wouldn’t be so mad all the time. Also, I think he beats Huck because he’s mad. If parents beat their kids they might do the same thing.

Some parents, like Hucks dad take it to far. They kick their kids, and beat them with sticks and stuff. They shouldn’t be allowed too. Hucks dad kidnapped him so he could get the money from Huck. His dad wanted the money he found. That isn’t fair because now he cant finished school and stuff like that.

Although there are many con’s to being allowed to hit your kids I think there are some pro’s also. If the kid deseveres to be hit maybe he should be. Some kids are really bad and have bad mouths, like Huck. If a kid curses at their parents their parents might hit them because it’s disrespectful.

As you can see there are many reasons why you should and shouldn’t be allowed to hit your kids. One reason is if they drink too much. Another reason is they might take it to far. Then there are pros like if the child is being disrespectful.
